What is the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes?

The TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes provides an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, raise much needed funds to continue essential JDRF funded research and is a great way for corporations and families to get out for a day of fun and fitness.

As many of you might not know, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes(Juvenile Diabetes) at the age of 6! This is my 15th year of dealing with this disease daily and the challenges it can bring.

For the first time, I am FINALLY participating in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes. I want to do my part to help those diabetics newly diagnosed and old timers like me have a chance to make this easier to deal with in day to day life.

My awesome roomie Bryan and I have started a team. We named it Team Car RamRod.
